This is my first purchase from Fine Art America. I had an idea in my mind of what I wanted to hang in our newly renovated master bathroom wall. My artwork expresses the beauty of what I see and feel around me. I love the outdoors and the natural wonders of our world. I look for subjects that captivate and intrigue me while at the same time thinking will this make a good watercolor or photograph? I always have a camera with me. It is my number one tool. Occasionally the shot I take is a spur-of-the-moment encounter while walking in town, or in the woods. At other times it is after a carefully planned trip. It usually involves taking as many photos as I can while paying attention to light, color, contrast, and composition. What I am really hoping for is to see a beautiful scene roll out before me. That does not always happen...but...many times I am able to see that I can crop the...
