It was while working for Emory University in Atlanta that I signed up for a community watercolor class. Little did I know that this would be a life changing event. My passionate reaction to watercolor was "Oh my gosh, now I know what I want to be when I grow up. Did I tell you that I was 53 years old at the time! I remember painting on my kitchen stove as the overhead light was the best lighting in my little Atlanta condo. Several friends interested in purchasing a painting from me asked if I could frame it. Convinced that I could, I eventually set up a tiny area in my dining room where I cut mats and put together metal frames for my paintings.
