This is one of a series of 21 photographic art images, all created from a single photograph of a palm tree stem. The stem was covered with old leaf-stem bases, which naturally form a balanced, criss-cross pattern. I couldn't resist photographing the pattern, then forming a variety of new patterns for this series of images.

This series includes both vertical and square format images, all showcasing intricate, symmetrical patterns, and sharing the earthy hues of natural palm. Any one of these images is eye-catching when displayed alone, but they make a real impact when exhibited in groups of three or more pieces.
