This series was born of a series of outtakes i did when trying to get the right facial expressions to overlay with R Paul Sardanas amazing abstract portraits of Desdemona.
I very much wanted a way to combine mediums, to collaborate on this collection. R. Paul was generous enough to let me use his abstracts paintings as a photographic canvas. I loved the challenge of working in mixed media.

I am a self-taught taught artist that discovered my passion of photography, back in 1995, while writing my first book, Haunting Hands. A book initially intended to be a collection of poems i had written about surviving a difficult childhood. I decided it would feel more personal if i created the cover for the book myself.
