Artist's Description
This one took about 10 hours to complete, owing to the larger pens used (.05mm), simple design (relative to my other works) and duochrome composition. It contains 4 layers, which is a first for me. Please look at it up close, as there is a great deal of detail.
About William Burns
Artist. Philosopher. Lunatic. As an artist, I make drawings and digital works with a focus on patterning and on textures. I experiment with photomanipulation, mirroring and editing my completed works to generate new art from the raw materials of the old. I make drawings, outlining them in pencil and then filling them in with ink. As a philosopher, I like to discuss the theory and application of the principles of patterning, texture, color, and all the other elements of my work with like-minded individuals, as well as dissenters. I welcome critique and discussion on my works, as I believe it is always possible to improve upon them (though, given the nature of the medium, such improvements will have to go in future works as the present ones...
