Absolutely loved my print. The depth and details are spectacular and the quality of the print is fantastic. I framed this in a white frame and didn't have the exact size handy so kept the lower space intentionally open. I love how it came out.

I love this print! Her dress is so pretty and victorian and I can daydream that this is me in another lifetime , contemplating life while visiting the sea

I bought this for a friend who lived in France for many years. Now that she is back in the states she misses France her favorite country. When I spoke with her on the phone she absolutely loved it. It showed all the places she lived or visited. She loved that it had an antique flair. She is getting it framed when she can. This my gift for her to bring up her spirits. She has stage 4 cancer. We live in 2 different cities & are comrades & would do anything for each other. When I saw it in the website I knew I had to buy it. Great work. A big thank you for your talent & putting out there to buy your beautiful map!!!

Just exactly what I was looking for. Next time I’m in SFO, I’ll be sure to wear flowers in my hair! Thank you so much for bringing back all those memories.

Artist's Description
When I encountered this root system on a trail in Algonqun Park it grabbed my attention and imagination at the same time
resembling something from Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter I began to imagine just what this living organism was up to. To
me it appeared that it was sneakily grasping for some tasty morsel, which in reality was exactly what it was doing just as
you and I do when we're feeling a little hungry. I guess if you think about it slow is the way to go trees for the most part
live a lot longer than we do.
About Alan Rutherford
There are little pieces of me in collections around the world, United States, Japan, Holland, and England just to name a few. One of the highlights of my career was being invited to represent my country in the Biennale Internazionale Dell’ Arte Contemporanea 2003 in Florence Italy. I’ve exhibited in numerous shows such as the Toronto Outdoor Exhibition that takes place every summer in Toronto Canada, Art in the Park, Windsor Ontario and various other venues throughout the province of Ontario Canada. My main focus however for the last twenty years or so was my open studio in downtown Toronto, which I recently closed in order to allow myself greater creative freedom. I presently teach children and adults. I love the creative process...
