Washington State native Mark lives and works in the Puget Sound, where he received his art education from The Art Institute of Seattle and Cornish College of the Arts. Mark works primarily in representational form in oil in his traditional work, utilizing variants upon the tried and true Venetian and Flemish techniques of layer upon layer of translucent and opaque oils to create the richest possible surface, to not merely apply paint to a canvas, but to craft a work of art and a thing of beauty.
