The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back.   The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

This image is taken from a photograph of nesting storks.

There is an area in Lagos ,Algarve where these large birds nest with apparent impunity.

I stood with my camera in hand watching the nesting rituals for some considerable time.

There must have been some ten or so birds on the top of a derelict hotel, there were others at an old waterworks site where the chimney stacks were not demolished.
