The Waldorf Hotel opened on December 26th, 1948 in Vancouver , B.C. Canada.
It is steeped in nostalgia , a rich history that goes further back than tiki torches & black velvet paintings . It strikes a bold pose in its architectural styling, harking back to the Art Moderne period , a rare sight in the city with so few from the period left .
It sits snugly on East Hastings st. in the iconic east side of the city .
