The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back.   The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

Johann Michael Seligmann was a German engraver, illustrator and art dealer from Nuremberg. Originally engraved by George Edwards in his works 'A Natural History of Uncommon Birds' and 'Gleanings of Natural History' Michael Seligmann re-engraved the plates and combined it with Catesby's work 'A Natural History of Carolina, Florida and the Bahama Islands' translating the names into German and adding some figures and plants not present in the originals.
