This is my first purchase from Fine Art America. I had an idea in my mind of what I wanted to hang in our newly renovated master bathroom wall. My name is Thia. I'm a self-taught photographer who enjoys expressing realism and impressionism in her photographic work. It was in 2005 that I’d picked up the camera "as a hobby" for the first time. But it wasn’t until 2006, while photographing the Civil War Battle of Perryville [Kentucky] reenactment, that I’d finally found my niche in photography, i.e. capturing images of American historical sites and reenactments. My love for America and her rich history has contributed greatly towards this endeavor. It is my hope that my work would capture the imagination of the viewer and inspire him/her to reflect on America's history and the cost of freedom.
