This beautiful tiger lives at the Point Defiance Zoo.

"Sad News: Bali, our 14-1/2 year old Sumatran tiger, was humanely euthanized yesterday (11/27/12) after a long battle of lymphoma and kidney disease. Bali outlived the estimated lifespan for Sumatran tigers, which is estimated at 10 to 12 years. He came to live at the Zoo in 2009 to mate with Jaya and fathered two cubs in 2010. We now have four Sumatran tigers and one Malayan tiger. He will be greatly missed. "

I've always loved to take photographs, but with the evolution to digital it's so much easier to take a lot of pictures and then just keep the best ones. Taking photos of wildlife, birds in particular, is what I enjoy doing almost every day. I'd rather take landscape or wildlife pictures than ones with people. I like the spontaneous nature of watching and trying to capture special moments out in nature, it seems so much easier than posing people, but at the same time not as easy to capture a great photo, in my opinion. I'm no professional and only present to you the photos that I really love. I enjoyed taking and processing them into a finished product that I'm truly proud of. I hope you enjoy them!
