Artist's Description
This is a copy of a Mural painted in my son's room when he was 7 years old. I took a picture before we move out. I currently paint in this room. The whole room is in the stars with glow in the dark stars on the ceiling and a rocket on the door.
About Laurie Dedmon
I was born in Irvington New Jersey, and I spent many summers with my grandfather. He taught me how to fish, crab, farm, and how to take care of many animals including chickens, ducks, and frogs. The best of me came from my grandfather. The rest of my life was a mess until my second marriage to my current husband Jason. We raised four children together, and we never seem to have a dull moment. I graduated from California State University, Hayward with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Art. Later I got a teaching credential in elementary education, mild to moderate disabilities, and taught Art to adults in Sanger, California. I also earned a Master's degree in Educational Leadership, but I was too ill to use that credential to become...
