To Serve The Lord, charcoal on paper, automatic drawing
The faces you see on this drawing appeared without me drawing them on purpose. It sounds strange but so it is. I was drawing hearts and this is the result. Not sure what God wants me to say with this drawing, but I am sure there is a meaning for it. Therefore I named it To Serve the Lord.
About Arthur Right
I am self taught artist living in Auckland, New Zealand. My artworks are mainly abstract and surrealistic automatic drawings. Charcoal and graphite on paper is my favourite medium. Most of my drawings are created spontaneously, without any sketches, when hand is allowed to move randomly with a little influence from mind, I could say subconsciously. Such drawing technique allows me to disclose emotions, meanings, spiritual insights which are not expressible with traditional or so called conscious drawing techniques. Most of my drawings can be rotated 360 degrees - I often find a meaning of the drawing only by doing so.
