My life began January 2nd 1957. I was born in and raised in Boulder Colorado. My formal education ended after a couple of false starts at college. My interest in art began early as I recall carving a bar of soap as early as 2nd grade. I also remember having a piece included in a group show at the Boulder Public Library when I was around 10 years old. I took a couple of art classes in high school and a pottery class in my twenties. I was successful and received positive feedback in these classes but it did not occur to me to at the time to become serious about art.
