The evening before this scene was full of boaters, fishermen, hikers, and others just hanging out. This was taken at about 5am and there was nobody to be seen. Too early for the fish to start jumping and it was so quiet that it seemed like I could hear any sounds from miles away but there was nothing to be heard. Even before sunrise the colors were bouncing from east to west and everywhere between. This was the most beautiful pre-sunrise I have ever seen and was the most peaceful feeling I've felt in years. I may have had a glimpse of heaven as I captured this moment and am happy to share this with the world.
I have always had a passion for photography and started out with my first camera in 1985 while living in Southern California. My family (mother, father, 3 brothers, and 1 sister) moved several times between Salt Lake City, UT and Southern California. At 18 I moved back from California to Utah on my own after losing my father and second oldest brother in a car accident caused by a drunk driver. I joined the Army (Infantry) at age 20 and served for 4 years. While in the Army I was stationed in Germany and Washington State. I was able to visit several places in Germany and Paris France. I was deployed to Bosnia from Germany on December 26th 1995 and spent about a week in both Hungary & Croatia and then was in Bosnia until March 25th 1996....
