Art has been a major part of my life for a very long time. My first real instruction was in high school and it triggered me to pursue art in college. I decided to be an art teacher and have done so for many years. When I went back to college to work on my master's degree I chose to produce a body of work featuring animals and working in ink. I used a dried hollyhock stem with a point carved in one end to ink in the lines on my drawings. Using a variety of inks, including white, I drew different animals with very expressive lines. In the past my art has had minimal exposure and now I am working at letting others see what I've been up to. This has also piqued my interest in producing art once again.
