"Trilo-Femoral-Mechanicus" is one of my series of mechanized fossils. This series refers to the cyclical nature of time, as well as the suggestion that today's technology will be tomorrow's fossil.
About Jud Turner
Jud Turner is a sculptor based in Eugene, Oregon USA, who was born in 1969. He works out of his studio, The Oblivion Factory, and creates sculpture using award winning sculptures using found objects and welded steel. "Jud Turner's range of sculpture is fairly varied in terms of subject matter, but this artist is consistent in his use of found objects and welded steel. Biology, technology, ancient fossils and modern machinery are all inspirations for Turner's work. Some of the very intricate pieces combine nature and mechanics, others involve the human anatomy, either symbolically or as part of the machinery.
