The Blue Jay has a bad rap for being the A-hole of the bird world;
He stands his ground. He stands out in crowd. He speaks his truth, loud and clear.
If that's what being a jerk was, I'd gladly call myself such.
(Mockingbirds are the real jerks, anyway.)
Scientifically speaking, his blue feathers are a trick of the light, but that speaks to keeping our eyes open.
