Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

SCIENTIFIC NAME: Opuntia
FAMILY: CACT�EAS
These plants are native to the American continent and they were introduced to Europe by the conquerors and adapted themselves easily to the Mediterranean region. Its fruits are eatable and they are known as �tunas� or �higos chumbos�. The �nopal� is one of the national symbols of Mexico, one is captured in the national shield supporting the real eagle that devours the snake. The Aztecs considered it to be the �plant of the life� since it never dies since having dried off, it can give life to a new plant. Of it we can extract diverse elements of the Mexican feeding: �nopalitos� �tunas� and �xoconostles�. In the industry it is used as colouring, rubber and anticorrosive. It plays an important role in the conservation of the soils since it protects the fertile layer of these against the erosion.
My interest in painting and shooting nature begins from my professional studies of Biology at the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico with assignature on “ Drawing Applied to Biology ” by the great Scientific Illustrator and Teacher Aldi de Oyarzábal, one of the founder members of the Mexican Academy of Scientific Illustration. Along with my progress in the scientific area there was always my need to capture nature with its great variety of color and detail which Iead me into the world of the Photography and Microphotography with Science Master Alejandro Martínez Mena at the Microcine Laboratory also at UNAM. As soon as my scientific career was concluded, I had the opportunity to learn for two years the wonderful watercolor...
