About the Image

Tushka Lusa by Tammy Dunn

This is a Painting in oil on canvas of my home town of Tuscaloosa. I have named it after the Choctaw words it was derived from. Tushka(warrior) and Lusa(black). The main river that runs just in front of the buildings you see here is also called the black warrior. Ask any person who has lived here all there life what they notice about this picture and they will probably tell you the clock on the bank building. It was a staple of information for my generation. It gave the time, weather, and town announcements. This has now been removed a part of lost history because of this I made a point of putting it here as a symbol of our town. This has gallery wrapped sides with a good heavy frame.

About the Artist - Tammy Dunn

Tammy Dunn

I started drawing when I was five, took art in high school, went to college at Shelton State for commercial art. I am foremost a fine artist and specifically a painter. I paint my dreams or anything else I see that inspires me. Due to my commercial art training I am also a good illustrator and am open to commissioned work. My husband is also an artist and we run a small sign business here in town called KudzuSouth dba Fat Rat Custom Signs. I generally retain rights to my art at the prices you see here but all terms and prices are negotiable.
