A light sketch using a graphite HB pencil with just a touch of coloured pencil I did of Twiggy, a fashion model from the 1960's. I did this 3 years ago when a photo of her caught my eye, I had to sketch her, I love the effect an effect of negative space and minimalism was produced. Twiggy was portrayed with a harsh striking look, I softened this look without losing its magic and it worked. I used textured watercolour paper and rubbed some colour into background, this added to the softened look. This look of Twiggy's was iconic of that era and is instantly recognisable. I've used pink as the default background colour on all accessories as this is a girly iconic product and pink really suits the subject. You can choose another colour if you prefer by using the slider and colour chart provided. This is the original work I have one other that is digitally superimposed with an oil painting as a poster style design.

I am an artist and photographer I studied art in both Liverpool and Southport, I have works in acrylics, pastel, pencil, pen, ceramics, watercolours and photography, my work varies from portraits to landscapes abstract and still life, in both art and photography. I also use mixed media mixing some of my hand painted and sketched art with digital media and I have floral works in photography and digital designs. I have had my works at many exhibitions and know some other artists. I live in Southport and most of my work is accomplished there. I also write poetry and illustrate them.
