This landscape of Bethany College's Round Barn in Bethany, West Virginia, took thousands of hours to paint using a digital stylus, a Mac computer and a 17 inch display. The original image is enormous. It depicts, what was at the time of its construction in 1913, one of the most efficient and productive dairy barns ever built. It was the pride of the Bethany College Agriculture Department and was a gift to the college by Wheeling, West Virginia's Earl Oglebay, industrialist and shipping magnet.

My life began on a small farm in the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia. It is where my love of old barns and rural scenes began. When I wasn't riding the range with the Lone Ranger, Cisco and Pancho, I was roping my favorite cow, Tom, while astride my faithful horse, which also doubled as a fence gate. In the early 1950's my family moved to southern Florida and settled down in Deerfield Beach. At that time Deerfield was more Everglades than homes. The Atlantic Ocean, the Inter-Coastal Waterway and the jungle in between and beyond became my playground. It was an environment of adventure that Huck Finn would have envied, and one I loved.
