About John Barth
John W. Barth is a fan of many things, especially interesting people who have impacted or changed other people's lives through their efforts and/or heroics. John's paintings are primarily oil-based, with a bent toward impressionism and a bit of abstract influence, all intended to give his portraits a gritty, street-level hue and feel. He has studied various painters and styles, both formally and informally. Drawing remains John's first love, and he has worked to refine his eye over many years.
