The inspiration for this painting is my love of scuba diving, one of my favorite hobbies. It depicts the beauty of a typical scene I might see on any given dive.
Sea turtles are a favorite sight of mine. It's amazing to watch their gracefulness as they so leisurely swim. One of the joys of diving is that one never knows what you'll see when you go down. There is always a surprise waiting for you.

Donna Tuten is a painter, working primarily in oils. She currently lives at Smith Mountain Lake in Franklin County, Virginia. After raising a family and moving to the Roanoke Valley from Richmond VA, Donna began to explore her long-held passion for art. She loves travel, and much of her art is inspired by places she has visited. Donna is diverse in subject matter and style. Water, glass and its reflections, vineyards, animals, florals and landscapes are among her favorite subjects. Her style varies between realism, impressionism and expressionism, depending on her mood.
