Found this antiquated hitch laying in the dirt out at the old Koloa Mill when I took a tour. This rusted hitch was laying on the ground half buried from being stepped on and driven over, so I call it Unhitched. It vintage, antiquated and has found a place among my old relics, though I have a friend who has coveted this relic. I may give it to him. Rust has a beauty all its own. Photographing a rusted object at just the right moment makes for some interesting, if not abstract photography. The basic soil components of all these Hawaiian Islands is iron oxide. Our soil is red.
