Although just 30 miles from the more famous Monument Valley, Valley of the Gods is much less visited and being BLM lands, you can camp and hike without restrictions. Some of the monument names include Balanced Rock, Battleship Rock, Castle Butte, Franklin Butte, Pyramid Peak, Rooster Butte, Setting Hen Rock, Seven Sailors Rock, Rudolph and Santa Claus, De Gaulle and His Troops, and Lady in the Bathtub.
