Original no longer for sale! This piece is mix of comic book pop art, American Gothic and Japanese brush art. I thought it fit the mix of the movie Heathers that came out in 1988. The film was a blend of black comedy, social satire and young love. Winona Ryder's performance of social warrior Veronica was perfectly balanced by Christian Slater's disturbed rebel "J.D.". Black and white might dominate the piece but the red's importance is equally as strong. It shows the wounds of their fight, the fire to their smokes, the counter on the timer and the explosive power between them.
