I fell in love with this photo the day that Jan posted it. The cards are beautiful, frame able for a small space. I like that they have plenty of room for writing or doodling inside.

Artist's Description

MODEL RELEASED. Light emitting polymer. View of a male researcher working with a light emitting diode (LED) in a dust-free chamber. The diode is made of a plastic known as a light emitting polymer (LEP). LEPs are polymers which emit light when a voltage is set up across them. They have performance advantages over conventional LEDs which are made of semiconductors such as silicon. The polymers are flexible and easy to manufacture and can be chemically tailored to produce light of any wavelength. Products such as flexible TV screen & video wrist watches could be made possible by LEPs. Photographed at Cambridge Display Technology laboratories, England.
