This image was taken through and old sawmill window near Twillingate, Newfoundland and the iceberg had just appeared that afternoon.Newfoundland is a beautiful island east of the Canadian mainland. �Nowadays, many younger people are commuting by air to jobs in Quebec and other major cities and coming back home on their days off. �The rugged fisherman and lobsterman are slowly disappearing. �As you drive through the small towns and inlets, you will see many boats of different sizes waiting for their owners to come take them out. During the spring into summer, icebergs dot the inlets and ocean, some lodged and some floating. And, yes, the water is very very cold!

From landscapes to seascapes, animals to abstracts, I love trying to grab the moment with photography. It still amazes me that we can capture a moment in time and have it to look at forever. I love how photography has made me so much more aware of everything around me, patterns, light, expression...things I never paid much attention to before. Now everything I see I think about in a different perspective. Photography has also been a great avenue to meet new friends who are traveling the same path and sharing adventures with them or learning from their own excursions. The longer I am in photography, the more I am reaching for the unique, and trying to stretch my imagination to see past what is typical and try to make the mundane have...
