"Vintage Brick on Main Street" by Connie Fox.

Reminiscent of the past and a simpler way of life, downtown brick buildings face Main Street near McCarty in Eagle Lake, Texas. According to the information on several buildings farther down and out of this frame, these date from around 1900. They are not fancy, for Eagle Lake is a small rice farming community. But note the two round windows on one of them, the interesting architectural details.

On the front of one of the buildings is the name J. N. Frazar. Buildings are set against a beautiful sky with gentle white clouds. Cropped to the equivalent of 16x9, with both larger and smaller sizes available, as well as greeting cards.

Photographed in May 2014 with a Nikon D7100, Nikkor 50mm/f1.8 lens and ND filter, outdoors with available light. Converted to black-and-white in Adobe Photoshop Elements. You will find similar shots in this album in sepia, black-and-white, and color. Several show the head-on parking.
