Artist's Description

A simple wood structure, including a porch and screened double-doors and windows, that once served as a gas station near Chappell Hill, Texas. Abandoned, it is overgrown with grasses and vines in the fresh greens of springtime. Ironically, while the native landscaping is fresh and flourishing, the business definitely is not. Warped wood siding adds to its charm. Several square windows and double doors, with brown screens and lime-green trim, contrast with the deep green of the flourishing vines. A weathered wood sign, half-hidden in the tall grass, indicates the gas station was once for sale. Sadly, it has seen better days. Copyright 2012 Connie Steitz Fox. All Rights Reserved.
