The John Deere Tractor Company was established by John Deere in the mid 1800's. He was an Illinois blacksmith who began building tractors that were better able to till the tough soil of the Midwest plains. These early tractors helped establish much of the agricultural developement of the midwest.
I started getting serious about photography in the mid seventies. It took me a while to switch from film to digital, but now I'm a total convert. Although I try to get the best shot possible in camera, I'm a big fan of post-processing. I love the creativity that's possible with a digital camera and a "computer darkroom". I've painted off and on for most of my life with oil and acrylics, so I can't resist the temptation to turn a lot of my photos into digital paintings. I also love color, and like to really make it "pop" sometimes.
I'm a Florida native now living in the mountains of Georgia, in an area known as the Enchanted Valley. There is plenty of beautiful scenery and interesting things to shoot.
