This illustration is one in of a series of vintage-looking posters celebrating the majestic Cascade Range. Northwest artist Mitch Frey draws inspiration from the WPA posters of the 1930s-1940s to create the vibe of an old travel advertisement.
Back in '92, Mitch began his career in illustration, honing his skills as a woodcut artist. With the new millennium, he diversified with a vintage poster style. Lately, Mitch has tweaked this retro look in a new direction, with an eye toward simplicity and a soft spattered air brush effect.
