If art is supposed to be controversial then these old sheet music covers are certainly that. Of course they were not done at a time when things were different and they were not intended to be.
I have about 3 dozen of these old covers and in many of them the singers, writers, producers and all or some of them black. However it is surprising that if you do the research on the names, some of the people involved were all white.
Controversial or not, they are all great art!
