This painting makes me happy!! The colors are really fun and, like his other pieces I own, expertly painted. I want to live in this cottage and walk into the ocean. Ordered it on canvas - well executed. Thank you for the smiles!

Artist's Description
The earth is seen in the upper right hand corner, the water filthy - green and brown. The moon is in the upper left corner, with stars on the background. Sealife can no longer support itself on earth, so it is patiently waiting for mankind to \"get their collective acts together\" and clean earth\'s seas and oceans. Most of the sealife is in glass, with the suckers on the jellyfish also in glass. I had a lot of glass hanging around for \"future reference\" and decided - what the heck - stick it on a painting. A just for fun painting. I hope you enjoy it. It was a great experience to put together!
About Alanna Hug-McAnnally
Thank you so much for visiting my site. It's been an unusual journey on my way to painting. Due to an illness when I was 40 - over 2 decades ago - I had to quit working. One day I went to a large mall and was happily surprised by an art show/competition. While looking at all the paintings (about 1,000 in all), I was drawn to one particular artist. It turned out she was the teacher to 1/2 of the artists there. Having told her I was degreed in opera and concert, she immediately told me: "If you are in one of the arts, you are in all of them." That turned out to be true, and it turned out I could paint. Since then, I have been in jurried competitions, came in second in my first and first in my second. One is now in a museum, a gift...

Anne - thank you so very much. I looked at your site and it's fantastic. Especially liked Flutter by the Flower. :D Waiting To Come Home came about as a neighbor had given me two HUGE canvases (one the size of a door I haven't used yet) and had a lot of leftover glass for a glass project. Well, that's how the painting came to mind. my first thought was of a jellyfish with glass as suckers~ lol Thank you again Anne for taking the time to look at my "wonky" painting. :D It's a fun one.

Linda - thank you so much. It is a "for fun" painting. Started out with glass for the jellyfish suckers in mind and went on from there. just finished looking at your art and I'm so impressed you do so many portraits - especially from women of so many cultures. Travel and appreciating other cultures has always been a part of our lives, so your art really appeals to me. Thank you again.
