The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back.   The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

I travel to Yosemite Valley on a regular basis to hike and to shoot photography. Sometimes when I'm not hiking I'll just sit and enjoy the surroundings. This is especially true while waiting for good lighting to capture some of the areas many landmarks.
That was the case on this day. I was sitting on the banks of the Merced River across from Bridalveil Falls and down stream from El Capitan. The light was flat in the mid day sun and we were just sitting enjoying the hypnotizing effect of the river as it flowed through the valley. I spent time searching the river for trout and just enjoying listening to the water rush by. That's when I spotted this little sparkle. Almost as if there was a gem in the water. I new then that I had to capture this.
