This is a photograph of the iconic Western Auto building in Kansas City, Mo. The lighted sign at night is a beacon for traveling and navigating the city. This historic building was built in 1915 for the Coca-Cola Company and became home to Western Auto in the 1920s. It now houses condominiums.
Crystal is a Kansas City area photographer. She has been taking photographs since she got her first Instamatic camera. She also has attended numerous photography classes, seminars and workshops given by local and nationally known photographers. Crystal likes to shoot many different subjects. She feels that photographs are very personal and keeps variety in her work to appeal to a wider audience. She belongs to Kansas City Artists Coalition, Lawrence Art Guild, Johnson County Camera Club, Digital Dimensions, Wyandotte Camera Club and the Kansas City Zoo Photography Club.
