Painted from a drawing done in a waiting room at a cardiologists office. Now that I have heart difficulties, I have even more of an understanding as to what i was trying to capture. Cardiologists deal in life and death, so the people in the waiting room might be anticipating a very bad diagnosis, or the need of painful testing. Either way, this person does not want to be here,. This is the look, if I took all the patients and put them together somehow, this is the look and feel of life with disease of any kind. You want out, want to get back to your old self, your old life. But you can't. So, you stare out wondering if you really are all alone.

Picking up a pen, I ignored all that I had been taught about creating art and began to draw my barest emotions. Using shapes combined with colors to describe the turmoil I could find no words for, I created intense and emotionally charged works.
