About the Image

Whatcha Gonna Do When They Come For You? by Julie Brugh Riffey

Whatcha Gonna Do When They Come For You? This is an 18 x 24 oil on canvasboard of a police car grill. A friend, Cheri Heath, is a photographer and she graciously let me paint her photo when I told her it was a great image. Hopefully this will appeal to a policeman or his/her family. This was a police car from Bristol, VA.

About the Artist - Julie Brugh Riffey

Julie Brugh Riffey

A lifetime resident of Salem, Virginia, (USA) Julie Riffey found her love of art at the age of five. Her talent developed from childhood crayons and pencils to the soft pastel, oil and acrylic paintings she produces today. She has an Associate Degree in Fine Art from Virginia Western College and in the past, has taught children’s art classes for 7 to 10 year olds. The enjoyment of seeing artistic talent evolve in children is unparalleled. The hope is that she instilled a love of art in those children for a lifetime. Julie uses a variety of mediums: oil, acrylic, soft chalk pastel and pencil. She paints or draws landscapes, birds, animals, and portraits- all in the realistic style.
