When Morning Arrives by Jeff Burton emphasizes the calm of early morning just after sunrise over Johnson Lake in the Johnson-Sauk Trail State Park outside Kewanee, Illinois. The rays of the early morning sun can be seen streaming through the light fog that sits above the lake. The golden color of the sunlight enhances the fall colors in the trees along the shoreline making them glow with brilliant reds and oranges. This image is a wonderful addition to any den, living area, or place with a calming atmosphere where the warm colors of the sunlight will be an integral part of the design.
Jeff Burton is a Peoria, IL based Fine Art Photographer, who seeks to capture moments that instill a sense of calm and wonderment with the world around us. His photography style emphasizes the often-overlooked rich texture and tones of his subjects.
Received Honorable Mention award in the Photography group at the Illinois Art League Spring Art Show 2013.
Jeff developed a passion for photography after purchasing a Yashica FX-103 SLR in the early 1980’s. Armed with his SLR and Tri-X Pan B/W film, Jeff fostered an appreciation and obsession with monochrome images. Today, Jeff uses a digital camera to capture images electronically rather than on black and white film and is enthralled with the unlimited possibilities afforded by today’s digital darkroom, which provides the perfect marriage of his professional career and his passion. Jeff shares his love of photography with others teaching Lightroom classes and photography seminars.
