About the Image

Where Rests the Weary Widow by Kim Kruger

Entrance to the McGavock Family Cemetery at the Carnton Plantation in Franklin, Tennessee. Carnton was the site of one of the bloodiest battles of the Civil War in the 2nd to last year of the war between the states. The McGavock Family Cemetery lies at the head of the cemetery in sight of the plantation home, seen in the distance.
