Beautiful print! The only thing I don’t love is the imprint from the wood at the back of the canvas. Maybe different packaging would help?
Artist's Description
Original 1993 film photograph of White House Ruin, one of several hundred prehistoric Anasazi Indian shelters or villages carved into the cliffs of steep canyon walls in Canyon de Chelly (duh shay) National Monument, within the borders of the Navajo Nation, near Chinle in northeastern Arizona.

The Spanish later called these homes pueblos. Some of the structures look somewhat like apartments. Others are simple cliff ledges on which the Anasazi lived. Nearly all of these abodes were reached by ladder.
The Anasazi, who also inhabited Mesa Verde, were excellent basket weavers, known to grow maize and pumpkin.

About Connie Fox
This true aesthetic loves beautiful things, from architecture to the intricate details of flowers and plants. A native Californian who lived in Arizona before settling in Texas, I love nature, topography, and exploring small towns, looking for old buildings, unique objects, and rust. I enjoy making scenes look interesting and natural, as I saw them, and worthy of a place in your home, your office, your life. For 15 years I worked as a dental hygienist. John, thanks so much for your appreciative comment. And to think that, as a teenager in Arizona, I would stand at the rim and look down, thinking my friends and I had "seen" Canyon de Chelly!

Thanks for your comment, Robert. It's amazing indeed. Further research led to the discovery that these are indeed the famed White House Ruins. The cliff itself is the most stunning and fascinating I've ever seen. Like you, I can't imagine how they lived here!
