The reference photo for this watercolor painting of a white iris was taken at iris gardens near my studio. On sunny spring days, I walk down to the garden and take photos of the rows and rows of different varieties of irises. Some day I will finish painting some of the hundreds of photos I have taken of gorgeous irises.
