This image of green grasses among in an aspen grove was a hand-held multiple exposure. There was a stiff wind blowing so the grasses were moving enough and the light was low enough that it would have been hard to stop the motion of the grasses so I decided to use the motion of the grasses to help set the mood.
For me, photography provides a frame of reference for viewing my surroundings. Through it, I become more sensitive to nuances of color, shape, texture, light and shadow.
I purchased my first 35-mm. single lens reflex camera in 1976 and began teaching myself about photography. It has been a continuing learning experience ever since! Over the years, Iíve taken a wide variety of photographic seminars, classes, and workshops. In 1999 I completed the New York Institute of Photography course.
