About the Image

Wing Dream by Fran Riley

Macaws are native to Mexico, Central America, South America, and formerly the Caribbean. Most species are associated with forests, especially rainforests, but others prefer woodland or savannah like habitats. The majority of macaws are now endangered in the wild and a few are extinct. The Spix's Macaw is now probably extinct in the wild. The Glaucous Macaw is also probably extinct, with only two reliable records of sightings in the 20th century. The greatest problems threatening the macaw population are the rapid rate of deforestation and the illegal trapping for the bird trade. (from Wikipedia)

About the Artist - Fran Riley

Fran Riley

I enjoy a good book or movie where I can't guess how the story will end. It's unpredictable. That is the same characteristic I see developing in my Art. While I present realistic images through Photography I am most happy when I'm creating something abstract where I don't know how it will end. I love to experiment with creating Art whether it's in the digital world, like my Fractal Art, or physically creating something with my hands like my "Rust" project (see my blog Rust Project) It's usually not predictable nor do I know how it will end - and that's why I enjoy it so much.
