A Magical Winter Fantasy - The Stag King in a blue forest. Yuletide Greetings.
Oh, the magic of the Christmas. The Stag King stands on a shelf looking out the window to where the giant snowflakes are falling, and into the night of magical blue forest of a Winter wonderland. Waiting, patiently.
For every year on Christmas Eve... they say he comes to life.
This is my fantasy version of a still life. This Reindeer is a Christmas ornament from a Holiday display. His elaborate ornamental Vintage design reminded me of a tale from Celtic or Nordic Mythology - the story of The Stag King from "The Oak and the Ivy ".
I love the silver detailed and ornate saddle and bridle, the intricate and whimsical design also reminded me of a Carousel horse.
Holiday and Winter Decoration.
