A freak winter storm moved into Tucson, Arizona during February allowing many Tucsonans to enjoy a touch of snowy wintery weather. In the higher country, namely the Santa Catalina Mountains, Rincon Mountains and the Tucson Mountains snow depths reached two inches in some areas. Being most unusual for this area, schools had closures or delayed openings, and some areas and roads were actually closed to vehicular traffic. There is really nothing more beautiful than the southwestern Arizona deserts especially when winter appears if only for a short period of time.
Sandra Bronstein finds great pleasure in sharing the beauty of the natural world and its magnificent wildlife as seen through her lenses for over 35 years. Having been intrigued by many different elements, in both the manmade and natural world, she strives to discover new and different ways to capture these elements.
