Now retired and living in the quaint Acadian fishing village of Cheticamp, situated on the Cabot Trail and near the entrance to the Cape Breton Highlands National Park, this area is a photographers paradise. The moose and Bald Eagles are a must see in the wild. If you plan on visiting the area, be sure to look me up! We'll be happy to give you a tour of our famous Cabot Trail, and help you succeed in photographing some of the local wildlife. A long lens with a focal length of 400mm or more will help you for the birds, nice moose photos can be had with a 100mm if you find one near the road, otherwise 200-300mm and up will be needed. I tend to shoot with a Canon 300 2.8L IS II and will often toss on a 2x TC with a full frame body.
