The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

Artist's Description
This is one of four woodcuts I created for Montana poet BJ Buckley's latest book, CORVIDAE. This multi-colored woodcut is featured on the cover. An exploration of our age-old relationship with ravens, crows and magpies in all their power, mystery, humor and savagery, the poems inspired me to create the series of woodcuts that took several months to design, carve and print. The original woodcut prints (which I made by hand on Hosho paper) are much larger than the reproductions in the book.
About Dawn Senior-Trask
I have been an artist since I was knee high to a short-horned locust. My dad, Willoughby Senior (FAA) was a professional artist and writer and I have stepped in his shoes since I was born, though he drew horses better than I did when I was a kid. My family lived in a hand-hewn log cabin we built ourselves in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and had no water or electricity. I love my life with my husband and family in Wyoming among the horses, gophers, deer, antelope, coyotes, red-tailed hawks, and the wild landscape. My work is driven by the land, animals, wild plants and birds I have come to know so well. Hummingbirds still try to get nectar from my upturned fingers. My artwork consists of all these things and more...
